Konevska-Trajkovska:
Germany to help Macedonia by solving EU internal crisis

Germany will be most helpful to Macedonia unless it meets its determined priorities during the 6-month EU presidency, which include settling of EU internal crisis and the constitutional issue, stated Deputy PM Konevska-Trajkovska at the sidelines of the project presentation by NGOs EYE Youth Forum and Macedonian Committee of the European Youth Parliament from Skopje.
Answering a journalist question related to the statement made yesterday by German Ambassador Ralf Brett that "Germany cannot define itself as special lobbyist for Macedonia", Konevska-Trajkovska said that in terms of Macedonian support, the Government had never received concrete notice that Germany was to be the exclusive lobbyist. However, she added that Germany was a friendly ally to Macedonia and to its EU aspirations.
- It is very important to grasp the meaning of Germany's EU presidential term of 6 months. They will primarily focus on settling EU internal issues and nothing would be most helpful for Macedonia than their achievement on the matter. Thus, I assure you that Germany, country founder which is to establish the firm foundations in the 6-month period, will make a real impact on all accessing countries, first and foremost Croatia and Macedonia, stated Konevska-Trajkovska. |
