Czech Republic, US to sign troop deployment deal

The Czech Republic and the United States are set to sign an agreement of the deployment of U.S. troops on Czech soil, defense official said. The agreement will be signed in London on Friday.
"Czech Defense Minister Vlasta Parkanova and U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates will sign an Agreement and a Declaration on Strategic Cooperation," Czech Defense Ministry spokesman Andrei Cirtek said.
This will be a supplement to the missile defense deal signed by Prague and Washington in July. The deal, which allows the sitting of a tracking radar station on Czech soil as part of an extended US missile shield, would include tracking radar system in Czech Republic and 10 interceptor missiles in Poland.
