Conference on ethics in Macedonian journalism

A national conference on ethics in Macedonian journalism and possibilities for building self-regulatory bodies in media will begin in Skopje on Tuesday.
The two-day conference entitled "Professional Journalism and Media Development in Macedonia - Tendencies, Ethics, Self-Regulation" aims to produce conclusions over these issues through panel discussions.
Debates will focus on following themes: "Are the journalists capable of preserving the ethical implication of the phrase 'public service'"?, "Are there journalists who misuse their position?", "Do self-regulating mechanisms exist?".
Two books published within the edition "Research and Analyses of the Macedonian Institute for Media" will be promoted at the Conference, and a competition exhibition of amateur photography will also be set. |
