Borisov: Macedonian politicians should honor common values

Macedonian politicians should
not forget about the common values shared by organizations they want to join - the EU and NATO, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said.

He made the remarks in Brussels on Thursday, commenting the Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski's speech to Macedonian Diaspora in Australia. Gruevski reportedly called on Macedonians not to divide into Aegean, Vardar and Pirin Macedonians.

"I have told our neighbors in Macedonia that while on road to EU and NATO, they should read about the values that are cherished there and that is Europe without borders, Europe of goof neighborly relations, Europe in which conflicts are not resolved with such statements but with negotiations, peace, understanding and tolerance," Borisov said.

Bulgarian prime minister said his Albanian counterpart Sali Berisha wanted to meet him to discuss about Gruevski's statements.
